Yes, it is permissible to recite Ayat al-Kursi instead of another Surah in prayer. Ayat al-Kursi is a highly praised and virtuous verse from the Quran, and it is recommended to recite it in various situations, including during prayer. However, it is important to maintain a balance and variety in the recitation of different Surahs during prayer, as the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) encouraged diversity in the recitation of the Quran during Salah. Therefore, while it is permissible to recite Ayat al-Kursi in prayer, it is also recommended to recite other Surahs to ensure a balanced and diverse recitation during Salah. **

The correct order to recite Ayat al-Kursi before going to sleep is to start with seeking refuge in Allah by reciting "A'udhu billahi minash shaitanir rajeem" (I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan), then recite Surah Al-Fatiha (the first chapter of the Quran), followed by Ayat al-Kursi (Verse 255 of Surah Al-Baqarah), and finally, end with the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah (Verses 285-286). This order is recommended in Islamic tradition for protection and blessings before going to sleep. **

It is generally advised not to take any religious items, including the Ayat al-Kursi necklace, into the toilet or when taking a shower. This is because these places are considered impure in Islamic tradition, and it is important to show respect for religious items by keeping them in a clean and pure environment. It is better to remove the necklace and place it in a safe and clean place before entering the toilet or taking a shower. **
